Born in coal patches and steel towns, GSP’s music is layered with the vintage grooves of soul jazz and old school funk. heavy hammond organ, blazing horn lines, and thick grooves lay the palette for Strother’s “rust Belt Funk”.
Strother’s bands have shared the stage with Derek Trucks, Soulive, The new mastersounds, Paliament Funkadelic, and many others. As a composer, Glenn’s music has been featured in DC Shoes commercials, MLB broadcasts, extreme sports videos, and has had international airplay.
